Aeonix builds the connected hardware and software that cities and public bodies run in markets, transport hubs, schools and festivals: IoT vending machines, solar compactor bins, e-waste bins, AI monitoring and citizen apps. It is designed in Kolkata and deployed across West Bengal, Sikkim and beyond.
The common thread is operations. A city needs to know which machine is out of stock, which bin is full and where the crews should go, without sending someone to look.
Vending infrastructure for three Pollution Control Boards
Our IoT cloth bag, compostable bag and sanitary pad vending machines run on our own ESP32 and 4G boards and report over MQTT to a central dashboard showing machine health, stock, payments and usage by location. More than 500 are deployed, and in Kolkata alone the cloth bag machines have vended over 3 lakh bags.
Waste: compactor bins and e-waste collection
The solar-powered IoT compactor bin compresses waste so the same bin holds 5 to 8 times more, and it reports its fill level so trucks are sent only when it is full. It runs off-grid on solar, so it needs no wiring. The smart e-waste bin sends an SMS when it is full and reports to a central portal over GSM; it is deployed for the West Bengal Pollution Control Board.
AI monitoring and citizen apps
At Gangasagar Mela, one of India's largest public gatherings, our edge AI system detected sanitation issues in real time and routed alerts to cleaning crews, and kept working through patchy 4G. With Haldia Municipality we built Haldia Paribesh, a citizen app that shows hourly air quality and noise levels and takes pollution complaints.
