Smart IoT E-Waste Bin

Responsible e-waste disposal with automatic fill tracking, SMS alerts and a central monitoring portal.

Smart IoT E-Waste Bin

Overview

The Aeonix Smart E-Waste Bin is a connected collection point for electronic waste. It tracks how full it is, alerts staff when it needs emptying and reports to a central portal, which makes e-waste collection easier to manage and easier to scale.

Sensors measure the fill level in real time and report it over GSM, so collection teams are alerted when a bin is actually full instead of checking on a fixed schedule. The bin is deployed for the West Bengal Pollution Control Board.

Key Highlights

Capacity Monitoring

Sensors track the fill level in real time and send it to a central portal.

Centralised Oversight

Every bin reports to one portal, which helps plan collection schedules.

SMS Alerts

Staff are notified automatically when a bin reaches full capacity.

Large Capacity

At 2 × 2 × 4 ft, the bin holds a large volume of e-waste between collections.
